I saw these recently in a very upscale store here in St. Louis but couldn't afford them and was so happy to see that Stephanie from Under the Table and Dreaming was kind enough to share how to make these wonderful vases. So off I headed to the Salvation Army Store down on Cherokee for some clear vases and chunky knit sweaters. Her directions are very clear so I can't wait to make these to decorate the top on an old wooden icebox I have in the dining room. Think I will wander the alleys a bit and look for old weeds to fill them and have some bittersweet I stored from last year. I think shes's right these chunky old sweaters are just the right thing for making the vases and by using recycled objects it was very inexpensive to recreate much cheaper than the ones I saw in the shop. Will publish pictures when I have them done. If you decide to make some please email me (debbie@2oldcrows.com) so I can share your pictures with everyone else. Have fun crafting !
